Bethel College

Bethel College is a private Christian liberal arts college located in North Newton, Kansas, USA. It was founded in 1887 and is recognized as the oldest Mennonite college in North America, established to provide higher education rooted in the values of the Mennonite Church USA. The college offers a broad liberal arts curriculum with a variety of academic programs in fields such as nursing, business, education, liberal arts and sciences, art, music, communications, religious studies, peace and social work. Students are encouraged to engage in research, internships, and community involvement as part of their academic development. Bethel emphasizes faith integration, critical thinking, and community service. While rooted in Mennonite heritage, the campus community includes students from diverse backgrounds, and the curriculum incorporates both academic rigor and spiritual values. The college also supports an active student life with clubs, organizations, and inter‑collegiate sports teams known as the Threshers.
