Florida International University (FIU) is a metropolitan public research university located in Greater Miami, Florida, United States. The university operates two main campuses in Miami-Dade County, with University Park serving as its primary campus. FIU has been designated as a research university with the highest level of research activity by the Carnegie Foundation, and it is also recognized as a research institution by the Florida Legislature. For more than four decades, FIU has established itself as one of South Florida’s key educational institutions by addressing some of the most significant challenges of our time. In addition, the FIU School of Music seeks to engage with a constantly evolving world by embracing new opportunities and challenges, while equipping young musicians with the essential tools needed to build successful careers.
