The University at Buffalo (UB) is a public research university in Buffalo and Amherst, New York, and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Founded in 1846, it is one of the two flagship institutions of the SUNY system and the largest public university in the state of New York. UB is classified among “R1: Doctoral Universities — Very high research activity” and is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities.
