In 2017, the Business and Information Technology School merged with the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule to establish a private institution named the University of Applied Sciences Europe, which operates branches in three different German cities. The university aims to prepare graduates to succeed in a modern digital economy, and the value of its diploma is recognized by international employers due to its membership in the Global University Systems network. Students can pursue bachelor’s or master’s degrees in fields such as communications, film, game design, business psychology, business management, journalism, and fitness and health. The university also offers a Foundation Year program for high school graduates who have not been admitted to a German university but wish to gain admission. The UE Innovation Hub is located in Potsdam, the capital of the German state of Brandenburg, approximately 25 minutes from Berlin by public transport, and provides technology-focused programs in a modern state-of-the-art building. Studying at the UE Innovation Hub places students near international brands and within an environment that fosters creative potential and ideas, while Potsdam is noted for having the highest concentration of scientists in Germany.
