University of Wisconsin-Superior

The University of Wisconsin–Superior (UW-Superior or UWS) is a public liberal arts research university located in Superior, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System and was founded in 1893. UW-Superior offers a range of associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist degrees across more than 50 academic programs, with a focus on personalized education, experiential learning, and community engagement. The university maintains a small student-to-faculty ratio, allowing close interaction between students and professors. It also features NCAA Division III athletics and opportunities for hands-on research, particularly through centers such as the Lake Superior Research Institute.
